Connecting smartwatch and headphones at the same time

I remembered one year ago, my best friend Kathy talked with me about smartwatches and headphones. I am about to buy my first ever smartwatch, and I was wondering if it’s possible to connect both smartwatches and headphones to my phone via Bluetooth at the same time?
